NATIONAL SWISS MONDAINE CLUB SHOW RULES
A)
BANDS:
The official band of the National Swiss Mondaine Club is the “SWISS” band. All Swiss competing in an Annual show of the National Swiss Mondaine Club must wear a seamless band issued by the National Swiss Mondaine Club to be able to be eligible for cash awards offered by the National Swiss Mondaine Club. Even though any true to standard Swiss Mondaine Pigeon will be allowed to show with or without the National Swiss Mondaine Club band. As long as the bird has a seamless band of the correct size and year will be allowed to show in its proper year and class.
A
Swiss Mondaine Pigeon that is banded with a split band will be allowed to show
only in the category of an Old Cock or Old Hen.
B)
ENTRY FEE:
The
entry fee shall be determined by the National Swiss Mondaine Club Executive
Board.
C)
CLASSES:
Classes
shall be provided for: Young Hens,
Young Cocks, Yearling Hens, Yearling Cocks, Old Hens, & Old Cocks.
Included
in all color classes.
Young
Swiss Mondaine Pigeon:
The Current Year
( This years bird )
Yearling
Swiss Mondaine Pigeon: The
Preceding Year (
Last years bird )
Old
Swiss Mondaine Pigeon:
Two years old or older.
D)
JUDGES:
The
judges shall be chosen by the National Swiss Mondaine Club Executive Board.
E)
JUDGING PROCEDURE:
The
Judge shall explain how the process of judging will be done prior to the start
of the show. All Swiss Mondaines shall be given 100 points to start with, before
the judge shall handle all birds in the class before beginning the elimination
of point process.
The
first Swiss to be eliminated from the class would be the least desirable, and
the second eliminated would be considered the second least desirable, and so on.
It
would also be recommended to the Judge to explain the reasons of his decisions
for picking the top Swiss Mondaines chosen as the winners, or runner ups.
F)
SWISS SHOW WINNERS:
There
shall be a Grand Champion, Reserve Champion, Best Old Hen of show, Best Old Cock
of show, Best Yearling Hen of show, Best Yearling Cock of show, Best young Hen
of show, Best young Cock of show & First through Fifth place of each class.
The
method of selection shall be known as the Parade of Champions, with all First
place Swiss of each class brought up and judged beside each other.
1st
Young Hens, 2nd Young Cocks, 3rd Yearling Hens, 4th
Yearling Cocks, 5th Old Hens, 6th Old Cocks
After
the best age in each sex is picked, the Grand Champion and Reserve Champion
shall be the last two Swiss remaining from the Parade of Champions.
G)
SUBSTITUTIONS:
Substitutions
will be allowed only under the following condition: Same Sex, and the same Class
& Color. (Note: During the judging of hens, if one shows itself to be a
cock, that bird may be put into the cock class as long as the placement has not
been made yet by the judge.)
H)
DISQUALIFICATIONS:
As Outlined in the Written Standard.
I) DECISIONS AND APPEALS:
Reliable and competent judges shall be selected and their decisions will be final with no appeal.
